1994 - Rocky Mountain Abrasives
Nelico™ Inc. was founded in 1994 by Carl Nelson with himself as the only employee. Doing business as Rocky Mountain Abrasives™, the company started out strictly selling the Accustrip™, which uses Armex™ sodium bicarbonate, or baking soda, to clean in specific applications. Looking to diversify the company, we began selling pressure washing equipment and supplies. These product lines fit well together because they are both used in the cleaning industry.
Rocky Mountain Abrasives soon became a leader in the water cleaning industry for Wyoming. Wanting to be a full-service supply company for pressure washers, Rocky Mountain Abrasives looked to the small engine manufacturers to become certified for small engine parts and repair. Along with the engines came a full range of power equipment. Rocky Mountain Abrasives soon became a leader in the small engine equipment industry for Wyoming. To diversify further, Nelico added a line of utility trailers.
2004 - Nelico Equipment Service and Supplies
By 2004, the name Rocky Mountain Abrasives no longer stated what we did as a company. Therefore, we decided to use our incorporated name and began doing business as Nelico™ Equipment Service & Supplies. Nelico had established sales and service technicians in various cities around the state. Rock Springs, Wyoming, was doing so well that Nelico added its first branch location there in May 2006. Nelico now has more than 25 employees in two locations.
Unparalleled Customer Service
No one knows sandblasting equipment, water cleaning equipment, small engines, and trailers like Nelico Equipment Service & Supplies. Our customer service is unmatched in staffing and background. We sell parts and equipment to various places all over the world through our online stores: PressureWasherParts.net and SandBlasterParts.com.
2012 - Volvo Rents
On April 11, 2012, Nelico Inc. was acquired by Volvo™ Rents. Volvo Rents kept all of our employees, including Carl Nelson, and made him General Manager of the Wyoming branch. We still sell all the product lines that we did as Nelico, but we have added a full line of rental equipment from power rakes all the way up to full-size excavators.
2014 - BlueLine Rental
As of February 1st, 2014 Platinum Equity aquired Volvo Rents from Volvo Group and changed the name to BlueLine Rental.
2014 - Great Plains Cleaning Systems
On September 30th 2014 BlueLine Rental stopped selling and servicing all retail equipment and parts. Carl Nelson former owner of Nelico Equipment with his son Eric nelson former Branch Manager of BlueLine Rentals formed a new company called Great Plains Cleaning Systems. They then worked out a deal with BlueLine to buy back all the inventory of pressure washers, sand blasters, abrasives and parts from BlueLine and continue selling and, servicing equipment again and offering a full line of parts for their customers. They then hired a small staff of former Nelico employees and Great Plains was born!
